  1. Hi Dhruva,

I came across your blog while searching for information on road trips to sikkim from mumbai...I must say I am impressed with your trip and obviously the writing..while I didnot go through all of it(which I will definately do)...but whatever i read i thought was really nice...

I am in Mumbai and planning a road trip to sikkim by end oct/mid nov.- While I have done western India- i am not too familiar about the eastern and central India. I have a swift and will have max 2 weeks for the entire trip .Can you help me with details such as quality of roads? pit stops to be targeted for night halts? important cities/places on the way not to be missed?? -however, my prioriety plan is to reach sikkim straight and then explore the place-

    Cheers!!

  2. I even discussed it out with my dad, and we think that to go to sikkim and back will be quiet hectic. You won't get to see anything. You will need atleast a week to reach sikkim, and another to come back. Another idea, is that instead of taking our route, you can cut across M.P.. How ever, you will be passing through core naxal area. If you are okay with that, it might be quit an adventure. Do tell me know how it went.
